“Most people say that it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong. It is the character.”
-Albert Einstein
Hi folks, let's take a break and take an imaginary trip to the
future because this week I am going to tell you about the top 3 future scientific projects that are going to change the entire human existence.
Time travel.
I know it’s an enduring question for most of us. Is it really possible to time travelling? The answer is yes, it can be possible. May not become reality anytime soon, but I am sure it will happen in the future. Time travel can be done in four ways, unfortunately, till now none of the ways have been tried. The four ways to travel time or to the future are : A black hole, a wormhole, travelling at the speed of light and going through cosmic strings.A black hole is a region in the space having gravitational forces which is so intense that nothing can escape from it even light. Going into a black hole is not a simple task, no one knows what will happen if we go through a black hole. Researchers have confirmed that black hole has a boundary, called the event horizon. It is where gravity is just strong enough to drag light back, and prevent it escaping because nothing can travel faster than light, everything else will get dragged back also. Falling through the event horizon is a bit like going over angel falls in a boat.Einstein suggested the theoretical existence of "bridges" through time and space – often referred to as wormholes. No wOrm hole is discovered till now even it was discovered it will be too small to travel time.Next one will be cosmic strings it's just a theory of travel time.Still, no discoveries have been made because cosmic strings are formed when a giant star explode but that is far far millions of miles away from earth. Simply this is a project of future civilisation. There's a speed limit of 300,000 kilometres per second (or 186,000 miles per second) for anything that travels through space-time and light always travels the speed limit through empty space, no other object in the universe is faster than light.if we are able to travel at the speed of light we will be able to slow down the clock. This is explained in the theory of relativity by Albert einstein.
Hibernation.
Many of us confuse these two words hibernating and hybridnating. But these two are from different worlds of science. We may know about hybrid plants where a single plant will make two different colours of flowers. This is due to the combination of cells of two different plants. This applies to animals too, for example, if a white tiger breeds with a normal tiger then the combination of these two cells will form a new breed called golden tiger or a strawberry tiger but it is very rare to happen. Let's come to hibernating it’s simply a state of sleep many of us knows that’s polar bears sleeps 6 months but how it's happening I will tell you. It is caused by low body temperature, slow breathing and heart rate, and low metabolic rate. Currently, humans do not have the ability to hibernate. But researcher’s have been working to hibernate humans. So what is the benefits of hibernating humans? The first good thing is death rate will be reduced but everyone can’t be hibernated because it will cost too much for the normal person and it’s like fooling death. One day everyone will die, that’s sure.So in my point of view, it’s not a very good project to hold onto but It will change our human race for sure.
Millennium seed and frozen arc projects
This project plays a big role in the future than the top 2 because of the current scenario of earth. One day every plant and animal will die due to lack of water, unfertile lands, deforestation and so on. There will be a big gap in the food chain when humans have nothing to eat. This project comes into play in daily life.Researchers concluded there won’t be anything to eat in the next 100 years so they are collecting the seeds of plants and securing that in a cold storage place, in 2010 they have stored seeds of worlds 10% flowering plant in the same way they are about to collects the DNA of animals for the future generations.
Before finishing off this week session, I have to say something for the reader's - scientific research has been growing in rapid speed but we are not realising that we are destroying our own mother Earth.I don’t want to eat a food which is stored in cold for 100 years I don’t want this project to come into our daily life.Try to plant more trees and try not to waste foods.Simply save our earth for the future generations.
